So sad here for you too--what a sweet face Maddy had. I've just recently decided we need another puppy to fill the hole in our life left two years ago by the passing of our last dog. Life is lonely without a dog.

It's always painful when one of our pets pass away. They become a big part of our lives. You can take some small measure of relief that her suffering is over.
