anyone using nikon capture nx software

I'm not using the Nikon software, however, are you tired of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements? If you haven't tried Photoshop Elements and are looking for software for digital picture editing/organizing, I highly recomend it.

i just bought a nikon d80 and the optional software you can buy is capture nx. im using it for 30 days on a free trial but since there is no real manual with the trial software im just poking around experimenting .

i have never used elements as im totaly new to digital photography so im a beginner at all this

I'd like to ask what you're using the software for? Is it to do image touch up; red-eye removal, color/contrast adjustments, touch up, image sharpening... or more advanced image processing.

Photoshop has a lot of bells and whistles and can be combersome to use. Most folks use only a few of the features. If you want, tell me what you would like to do and I'll create instructions.

Once I know what you would like to do, I can suggest some additioanl programs.

id be using it for touch up as well as gaining experience processing raw files

You can try a trial version of Photoshop Elements at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/i...hop%5Felements. Registration at the Adobe site is required however registration is free.

Elements is very user friendly and easy for a begginer (I started with it as a begginer).
