Tell Henry, I can get to JFK or La Guardia to pick him up in 20 minutes. Ill be the big guy holding the sign "HENRY". To make him more at ease tell him Im a retired cop, and for extra security instead of my usual 5 shot .38, Ill pack some real heat , My .45 with an extra clip. If he wants, I have friends at the Port Authority Police that will come with me and escort us both to my car.

I read an interesting discussion of these scam emails. The question was: "Why would they make the pitches so transparent?"

The answer was that they don't want to waste time on smart people who will ultimately fail to bite. Instead, the email pre-screens for dumb people who are far more likely to pay off.

Makes sense to me.

Yes, it makes sense, but if they're sending them out by the millions, I would think cleaning up the grammar a little ought to increase the hit rate slightly.

If you ever get dissatisfied with the predictions, I have a "hex" remover that probably doubles as a palm reader!

I never thought of it that way. When I saw "Nigeria" in that email, I was thinking, OMG -who doesn't know the Nigerian scam, it's almost comic/cliche' by now. So OK, only someone really stupid/out-of-touch would fall for that - exactly the people they are looking for! How fiendishly brilliant!

I think he explained that pretty clearly. It was due to Air problem happened yesterday.

(I also like how Dr./Mr. Smith Jeffrey can't make up his mind whether he's a doctor or a mister.)
