Apple app store hacked

This NY Times story details the story (here). It affects mostly Chinese apps, the hack was in developers toolkit.

Apple confirmed on Sunday that a tool used by software developers for the company’s devices was copied and modified by hackers to put bad code into apps available on the App Store.

Some apps were hacked, not the store itself.

Developers downloading the toolkit from some Chinese site and not from Apple - oops! (Turned out to be a modified (hacked) version of Apple developer toolkit)
