Are You Having Trouble Getting Gas

If the higher gas prices weren't enough - Been reading about shortages in some of the country because of the switch to an ethanol-gas mixer. OK here in Minnesota - which is a big ethanol producer, think we'll be ok as long as we don't let any texans ride in and rustle it away from us...

Many of us Texans think it's terrible to waste good ethanol in your car. We have an entirely different understanding of the phrase "getting tanked up on alcohol".

No problems getting gas here in Texas. We make a couple of trips a year to Iowa and notice the ethanol blend we fill up with there with gives about a 10% drop in gas mileage on the trip home.....

Ethanol plays a part in reduced mileage but it also has a lot to do with headwinds. Did you ever notice that most airport runways in Texas run north/south and most of the time you land on the southbound runway (heading into the wind)?

Yep, Runway 35 most of the time. Hate crosswind landings.
