Cameras/Cell phones - Not All Pixels Are Created Equal

The pixel marketing race is back on. More does not necessarily mean better.
A good article with descriptions and comparisons on sensor physical size vs. quality.

Includes sample pics, and a pic of the cameras and cell phone that took the sample pics. In the pic of the cameras themselves, note carefully where the decimal point is in the sensor sizes!

This is NOT a "what's the best camera I should buy" consumer comparison article. It is a discussion on pixel count and sensor array size, and why it matters.

I know we have a bunch of digital camera people here, this may be of interest.

Lens quality probably goes right along with sensor size as a factor also.
