Cat Wins Portfolio Challenge
A cat wins a portfolio challange.
"The challenge raised the question of whether the professionals, with their decades of knowledge, could outperform novice students of finance – or whether a random selection of stocks chosen by Orlando could perform just as well as experienced investors".
Investments: Orlando is the cat's whiskers of stock picking | Money | The Observer
But the big question is can the cat beat out a chimp throwing darts against a newspaper?

The index return was 12.3% ( http://www.ftse.com/Indices/UK_Indic...nloads/ASX.pdf) and beat Orlando, even if you subtract 50 bps (or more) for fees.

I'd bet having opposable thumbs gives chimps a big advantage in the darts-throwing arena. In fact, I suspect that the anatomy of cats' shoulders makes it impossible for them to throw overhand at all.

Purron would probably know, she's half cat if I remember correctly.

I believe Purron is fluent in Felinese--she must have the most awesome portfolio!
