His unlikely - some would say unbelievable - life was informed by an impulse to stand up for the underdog mixed with a thirst for glamour and adventure. Fawcett charmed everyone he met with tales of swashbuckling intrigue and good deeds.
What a life he led.

By his own account, when he was 15 Fawcett had started an affair with his best friend's mother. "If that's child molestation," he declared, "I would wish this curse on every young boy."
Oh, uh, yeah, OK. I think that probably explains a lot, not that there's anything wrong with it...

Seriously though, what an amazing life. Thanks poboy!

Usually people that choose the more adventurous lifestyle do so over the accumulation of worldly goods has been my observation. Rich in life experience or rich in possessions it seems. Obviously, possessions meant little to him. Bravo for living the life he wanted to live and doing it so spectacularly!
