Chess On-line Recommendations

I am trying to find a Web-based Chess application that doesn't require me to register or download any applications or Java apps. I just want to play against a computer anonymously. Does anyone know of any I could check out? Thanks.

If you are on a Mac, OSX comes with an application called Chess and you play against the computer.

The MacBook comes with built in chess. Your post reminded me of it. I haven't played in decades. Just now I started a game and it automatically plays the other side with a weird voice announcing it's moves.

Vista (Windows) also has a chess game which is pretty good - you play the computer.

Here is a list from Tucows with ratings. This one sounds like the winner.
