Wide open subject...
Thoughts, beliefs, philosophies, and anything you can think of that you consider a big part of your life
Maybe whether having children has any effect on early retirement and anything else that you'd care to share.
Possibles:
total cost to raise a child. Way to much. i stop counting.
effect of having child(ren) on your profession none that I can see.
if you had it to do over again yes
relationships as they grow olderDifferent but just as rewarding. I'm trying to accept that they are now young adults. I still have moments of trying to fix every thing and having rules. lol
the "worry" factor: before, now, in the future never goes away. the things I worry about are different, but I worry about them no matter what age they are
as it affect(s)(ed) your social life
effect on: travel, hobbies, interestsNONE, lol my kiddos are smart cookies, they figured out long ago that they travel better, eat better and in general get more free stuff when they travel with mom. In fact they've gotten mad the couple of times I've gone on vacation without them
no children... what did you miss
effect on your contribution to society
military
time spent with them after they left the nest
Instead of turning this into a questionnaire, to answer talking points, you might want to give your own take on how children or lack of children has affected your life.
i'm trying to push mine out of the nest so can't answer the last part. We try to do one vacation together and usually they are home one or two nights out of the week.
Effect on my social life varied. when they were little and needed constant attention, we had no social life. but we knew that going in. Now that I'm a widow and they are getting older I'm developing a new social life.
