Christmas gift items will they be in short supply and higher in cost?

Only our adult kids (no grandkids yet) get actual gifts...everyone else (e.g. DW & me) it's a charitable donation in their name.

I've been campaigning for this in my family for a couple years.

I am glad we switched over to gifting gift cards/certificates years ago. No complaints, and never will be impacted by the supply chain .

DW and I no longer give each other anything other than a consumable or just maybe a "bobble" for DW. BUT for the kids and grands, we send checks - big checks! I'll let the kids deal with finding stuff this year. YMMV
