Congress is so worried about getting the language just right for their “non-binding” resolution. Why don’t they just vote to stop funding the war--- Because they’re scared. They don’t want to be blamed for the ensuing catastrophe. Our legislators hold the very power that determines whether a war will continue, expand or end: the power of money. This legal power is part of the checks and balances enacted by our founding fathers (they must be rolling over in their graves). Joe Biden is dancing around this issue.
Congress spent most of last year campaigning to end the war, but when action to that end is called for, they fail. Obviously, they don’t want to end the Iraq war and it looks like we are on a collision course with Iran. Democrats or Republicans—they are all cowards.
