Lancelot, we ride a bit of the parkway every summer when we go to our favorite music festival near Floyd, VA, at MM171 or so. It is so beautiful up there, I keep saying we're going to drive more of it, but we never do.
Lovely pictures!

You need to drive it on the way in, not when you're stumbling back out and all you can think about is clean sheets and a shower.

We took a ride through the Smoky Mountain portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway around 2002. Awesome ride. It's amazing how big those trees are in the Smokies.

We went landscape painting at Schlumberger Winery, off a country road in Sonoma County. Winery road is on far left near trees.

Love it.......been up and down 3-4 times now - Natchez to Nashville (or vice versa) - sometimes just segments, other times the whole route.

Speed controlled, no commercial vehicles, lots of history:

Natchez Trace Parkway
