Our 7 year old border collie mix actually prefers to be outside, it takes some coaxing to get her to come in for awhile.....unless there are thunderstorms or fireworks in the area....then she begs to come in.

Shel'll spend time inside on the hot evenings of summer and the colder days of winter but generally sleeps in her box (actually her travel crate) in the garage. When the garage temp gets into the 30s, she'll sleep in the basement. Her crate has a pad and soft throw rug inside, we cover the top of crate with another old throw rug about this time of year. It's her cozy corner.

Wow, 18 years she's been gone and you still have her in your heart.

Please tell SO he is a very talented painter. Wow!
What?? CJ's SO is a he?

I went to look at CJ's profile to find out that she is a woman.

I thought I looked at "his" profile a while back. What led me to think that CJ was another codger? I have fooled myself again, like with Khan.

My, my, my. I don't know what to think anymore. What if FB5825 or even T-Al, despite having posted their pictures, are really masquerading as their spouses

Oh, and before I forget, CJ's SO is an excellent painter.

One more thing. My cat always stays indoor. Same with her predecessor.

My cat slept anywhere she wants, on my pillow with her whole body wrapped around my head. Sometimes, for some unknown reason(s) she wants to sleep outdoors. We have two dogs, one sleeps on top of our comforter at the foot of the bed, the other sleeps in an arm chair near the bed. We love all of our pets equally and allow them to do whatever would make their lives the happiest and most comfortable. We wipe their paws when they come in from the outside since they are allowed on any and all furniture, etc.

Psst, the rumor that I live in Missoula is not entirely unfounded. Here I am, on a good day. btw, to return to OP, “Fluffy” is also an indoor gal.

And here's my look.

I will follow up with a new picture when we become empty nesters.
They say it is a reversible process, but we will see.

Arrghh ! Just as my image of you changed from a codger with a cane (remember your post where a woman lectured you about fatty food) to a gentle "geezerette" (spelled out on the shirt in your picture), you have to scare me like that!

OMG! Now, what I hope is my temporary look becomes PERMANENT!

She (see avatar) sleeps inside with DW and I. I wouldn't be able to sleep if she was outside anyway...

It turned out mice are still with us and the kitten barely goes outdoors, much preferring staying inside on our laps, beds, sofas, PC keyboards.....
Mine would sleep outside if I had any. Animals are disgusting in the matter they leave.

Neither animals nor children are for the overly fastidious.

Cat is a soft, furry little stove, whose job is to keep my feet warm under the covers. She knows when to get out, too

I would not ever compare any animal to a child. An animal I would make sure they had a proper residence out of the human living area. I wont even get into how some cultures view pets as food.

Slight detour...I'm made of 100% woman parts. Just ask dh2b.

It is not uncommon for folks to mix up other member's genders. I know I confuse people when I talk about being an engineer or w*rking on small engine repairs or boat related topics. That's half the fun!

Back on track...
My dogs know who the soft touch is around here (not me).
dh2b tries to play the alpha male, but he spoils my "kids", now our "kids".
The 2 dogs have defected to the person with the most frequent biscuits. Traitors!

At first I thought Cuppa Joe was a man just by the name but I quickly caught on that she had to be a woman. Her writing shows a sensitivity and a thoughtfulness that was just a dead give away to me.

Exchange the last two words in the above quote and we can have a toga party...
