Documentaries...other country's poor...

I stumbled across these four while rambling around on utube. I was interested in ship salvage and found these.

Being poor here is different than other countries.
It reminds me of what blessed lives we all have on these forums...

Working Man's Death...

And this one is what hell is like on earth...

Y'know, I was just thinking about that issue when I went to the grocery store this afternoon. There I was, surrounded by more food choices than most people in the world have ever seen, and I could have whatever I wanted.

I'm not crippled, in pain, or blind.

I live in a nicer home than the one I grew up in, with central heat in the winter and central A/C in the summer. My water is safe to drink. My every need is met, as distinguished from "wants" which is an entirely different thing.

Frankly, I don't have a damn thing to complain about.

As reported in the thread about "What have you read recently", I ran across a book by an African teenage boy who built his own windmill to generate electricity, after reading about wind power generation in a book. He did not even have pliers, or a wrench. For a soldering iron, he used a nail heated with fire. He was discovered and invited by the TED organizers to become a member and to make a presentation at a TED conference.

There's a million mouths to feed
And I've got everything I need
I'm breathing
