Seems like other groups have made similar predictions. Their accuracy left something to be desired. Here is a song about Heavnes Gate. Last Chance to Evacuate Planet Earth Before it is Recycled.

That might not be too bad. I've felt an affinity with Europa. I don't think I can be ready by Saturday, though.

On 21 May I'll be hiking from one side of Haleakala Crater to the other end of the crater. There won't be any electricity, street lights, running water, flush toilets, cell phone towers, or Internet access. As far as I'll be able to tell, I'll already be at the end of the world.

So, yeah, I guess it's for real. And I'm paying for the privilege...

I've heard many USAF personnel say ND is the end of the world. I disagree, but you can see it from here.

But now, that isn't expected to happen. Could it be that the Morganza has forestalled the End of Days?

I certainly hope so, as we are attending our sons graduation from LSU on the 20th and moving his apartment furniture and leaving B.R. on the 21st.

I can think of worse places to celebrate the end of the world than B.R.... although I suspect the folks in New Orleans might know how to throw a bigger party.

True, well at least we'll have some good cajun cuisine in our bellies when the bell rings.

I just checked the new mower battery status...it has just enough charge to turn over the engine with the key start. I'll give it another day of charging (per the manual instructions) just to be sure.
However, it is raining today and will continue to do so for the next 3 days.
The timing is going to be very close...

Yeah, I figure it won't be that bad down there. I mean, I've been to Texas and survived that, so how hot could it be?

You've got it made in the shade. Texas is where the devil sends imps in need of punishment.

I will say that I'm not someone who would take advantage of the religious, but I saw a story today about taking care of pets of those who would be left behind if the Rapture would occur. There's a money making idea I think, but I wonder if I would have to have a clause in the contract saying I would do my best to keep my eternal soul in danger of Hell.

I will be on vacation on the 21st, so that will be as good as any time. I just wish I would have made it to retirement for a few years, if that happens. Lol
