Excel stock quote add-in hlep needed

I have been using MSN Money Stock Quotes add-in to download stock and mutual fund prices into an excel worksheet. The file is (MSNSQ.EXE). I am using 2002 Office XP, 2002 Excel.

Monday it stopped working... so I downloaded the add-in from the Microsoft Download Center... during the process it uninstalled the current version and then tried to install the new download but two(2) files have an Error 1904 and failed to register.

I have checked the toolbar add-in but it does not work.

I have deleted all temp files, cookies and history and tried again but the same problem.

Any thoughts?

Is anyone else using this add-in with excel? Any problems?

Re: Excel stock quote add-in hlep needed

Thanks Maddy,

This MSN stock quotes was pretty nice... it is add-in toolbar. I have a spreadsheet with all my stock, mutual funds, etc. I would click on the "Update Stock Prices" button and it would get the last price for all of my stocks and funds at the same time... no cut and paste as long as it had a symbol.

Is the YAHOO thingy similar and how do I download it and from where?

I'm guessing you're using windows 98 and the following will fix it up...if not do* a search of the site with the keywords error 1904 and browse through the results...
