French WWI bond -- any value?

A friend of mine was going her parents' effects after they died and ran across a bond issued in 1920 by France for WWI reparations. It has a bunch of coupons attached, of which about half are missing, so it's likely they had been redeemed. She was wondering if this might have any monetary value or not.

I've spent some time digging around online but didn't come up with anything.

I'm wondering if the German defeat of France and the subsequent Vichy French government that was set up for a while may have caused this bond value to go to zero?

Any suggestions on how to determine its value?

It might be of more value as a collectible than as a bond.

I'm sure the bond is not redeemable. If you haven't found anything online. i.e. ebay listing, etc, I would recommend taking it to a coin shop and ask if they have a reference to look it up.

If it were paper money I could help out (I collect in that area). I suspect a value of only a few USD.

She mentioned finding an old French 100 franc note, too. I didn't snap a picture of it, though. The next time I see her, I'll ask.

Thanks,

That is worthless as money.
France has repudiated its currency numerous times.
The most recent was moving to the Euro and 10+ years ago the Bank of France stopped accepting francs.

I suspect it only has "collectible" value. I found what seems to be the same bond here, on sale for 50 Euros.

Wow...it sure is the same one!

I'll have to show this to my friend.

Thanks.
