OMG....I need to go wash my brain out with soap.

You're gonna burn, Ha. Save me a seat on the waiting room bench.

Yeah I had to look up what it was. I like clams, oysters, conch, etc. all good stuff but that thing is just crazy looking.

How many commonly consumed animals on earth could be placed in front of you and you'd have absolutely no clue what they are?

Man, that was gross.

I had to look it up too. According to Wikipedia, these things live an average of 146 years. Another fun fact: the Geoduck the the official mascot of the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.

Geoduck is a popular sashimi item, and is actually quite good. They are expensive- very expensive in a sushi bar, and $8-$12/# in small Asian fish markets, and more in the Asian supermarket.

Before I ate much sashimi I would filet the neck and cook slices quickly in the manner of abalone. Takes a lot of manila clams to equal one geoduck!

Nice find, Ha. I love them bivalves.

Xinh's is in Shelton, WA. I have to stop in next time I go through there.

Now don't go telling people about Olympia oysters, though. We have to keep some of these treasures to ourselves.
