I've been plodding along creating passive income in all the traditional ways I can think of.
Stock dividends
REITS
MLPS
Energy Trusts
CD's
Bonds
Treasuries
I would be interested in ideas that would produce $100 a month in passive income with the cost to buy that income.
So much of what is called passive income has requirements beyond paying once and then collecting the checks.
Just for a reference 30 yr treasuries now require about $26,854 to buy $100 a month of interest.
I am looking for things that could be a little volatile as long as likely to survive and continue the return. Maybe managed High risk Income funds? Any other ideas?
This is for a small part of the portfolio as chasing yields is likely a fools game if one bailed on draw downs in volatile holdings.
