Halloween on the Hill

Halloween on Capitol Hill is nuts - and fun. Our neighborhood draws kids from all over the area. They trick or treat down the side streets until they reach East Capitol Street and then everybody parades up one side and down the other. Houses on East capitol spend hundreds of dollars on candy because they have to give out thousands of treats. Some have huge parties - friends have to bring a bag of candy. DW and I went out with my son, DIL and 7 month grandson, and my nephew, niece and their 4yo daughter and 4mth son. Hard to do it justice with photos at night but here are a few. The bear kid is grandson Justin. The crowd shot is on East Capitol -- that crowd goes on for 2/3 mile on both sides.
