Help! Simple humidifier question

I have an Aprilaire furnace humidifier. I just put in new filter, connected the water line to the humidifier, turned on the humidistat, then turned the saddle valve.......and no water coming through.
Do I just need a new saddle valve or did I miss a step somewhere?

Um, is it turned on? Power to the switch?

Seriously, I've seen it happen.

I think that's it! I just ramped up the thermostat, and when I went downstairs sure enough the water was going. Thanks so much.
