That's funny, but unfortunately not surprising. I'm sure most of us have figured this out long ago.

I love it! Sort of like when they gave cheap wine to the wine "experts" and they couldn't tell the difference without the label. I'm not a huge fan of pretentiousness.

No surprise there.

This was amply demonstrated decades ago by Dan Ariely in his book Predictably Irrational. Among other experiments, people consistently said that coffee served from a polished sterling silver pot into fine china cups tasted better than the same coffee served from a glass pot into paper cups.

They repeated the experiment many times with other beverages and foods.
