Some of my friends and relatives call me ronstar. Back in the day before GPS, I used to give people directions(like Onstar). Still doing it for those that are gps challenged.

The name itself cames from here

My Neighbor Totoro - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Why? It sort of fits on many dimensions. Fan of studio Ghibli, love the magical theme, forest spirit, ..

The name is also not used very often on forums and such. In contrast to an old username I used before (not here).

And of course: Catbus!

I want my catbus ..

My proposed pen name when I was a pretentious 20 year old soon-to-be-world-famous novelist. Now, 39 years later, with all pretension knocked out of me, I'm using it as my forum user name because it is highly unlikely anyone would recognize it.

When I first got on the computer oh so many years ago.....I was a clogger (Southern tap dancer) but "clogger" was taken so I ended up dancer373 (my 2 favorite numbers 3, 7).

When DW wants me to do some household chore she calls me MichaelB, so whenever I hear that I know it's time to lay low and stay out of sight. The forum is a good place to hide and look busy...

It was supposed to be "Pleepleus" which is the monkey from the show Drinking Made Easy. However I spelled it wrong when setting up the account on my phone, didn't realize it until later and couldn't figure out how to change it.

Great stories! I wondered on some of the names and now I know. User names are always fascinating. On message boards one is anonymous but it is nice to see some part of a person personality shine through

When I joined the forum, I was much more focused on the "FI" than the "RE". Now I've achieved the FI and am very focused on RE soon. But I will not change the username as I like the rhyme and would probably forget the new one if I changed it.
