From my experience, most Greek boys--especially of first and second generation Americans, which is the total of my experience--are very spoiled as the parents still cling to the old world "boys are everything" mentality. Obviously, he actually believed it.
This guy reminds me of the fellow in Houston who kept throwing compliments my way when I would go to his firm to pick up ad copy and checks. When I didn't bite--I wasn't interested for a multitude of reasons (one being he had a mental condition)--he said, "gee, I don't 'think' you're gay?" He was just stymied that I wasn't jumping up and down for joy because he was coming on to me. Brother...some ego! But it did give me a good laff for years.
