I have cocaine in my wallet

So do you, most probably. Turns out there's traces of cocaine on most dollar bills. Some parts of the country have more than others. In the Washington DC area, where I am, 95% of dollar bills have a trace of cocaine. Marion Barry must have handled a lot of bills.

90% of U.S. currency tainted with cocaine. Which cities are worst? | Top of the Ticket | Los Angeles Times

So, with the exception of those bills employed in the snorting process, you probably don't need to worry about being contaminated.
Still, if you ever encounter any drug-sniffing dogs, it's probably best not to offer the canines a monetary tip.

I wonder if this means we'll need to start carrying Snausages in our pocket...

Zuo speculated that the apparent increased presence of cocaine was tied to difficult economic times, with more people experiencing stress and turning to the illegal drug.
I could also speculate that it might also be tied to the amount of cocaine smuggling and dealing going on inside this country. That might or might not have anything at all to do with the economy.
