I just saw a car blown up - in Amsterdam!

I just saw a car blown up - in Amsterdam!

Well, actually it was Capitol Hill, DC's Eastern Market dolled up to look like Amsterdam's flower markt and Ridley Scott was doing the blowing up. When you see "Body of Evidence" watch for a car blowing up in the flower market - you will know where it was really filmed.

DW suggested that I sign up as an extra but thank goodness I didn't -- that is hard work. The poor yo-yos stood around in 90F sun for hours wearing winter clothes. All to walk 5 feet and then duck when the director said boom. The actual explosion was filmed separately. You can certainly understand why these films cost $100M when you see a crew of about 100 with trucks out the kazoo and a helicopter shoot a ten second segment. And this was without Russell Crowe and Leo DeCaprio - they were not in this shot.

Can't wait to see the result
