I run Spybot and adaware scans on a weekly basis I have not noticed a larger number of cookies and entries since I started using Chrome.

I've been using Chrome--IE8 was just slower than molasses and installing and using Chrome was cheaper than throwing the laptop out the window. I cannot for the life of me get the newest version of Mozilla to work--it cannot connect to the Mozilla website after I install it. I liked the previous version.

I prefer Firefox. But I noticed that the guy who writes the Washington Post computer column mentioned today that IE8 is an automatic upgrade and recommended that users accept it.

I'm going to try IE8 again.
It seems IE7 doesn't talk to XP3.

Funny I should log on and there is talk of IE8. Just got out of the car after listening to a computer geek that has a call in show. Lot of complaining about IE8, so the geek says DO NOT install unless you have programs that require IE8. He says IE7 is fine and that you should have this if you are still running IE6. He mentioned that Microsoft labels their downloads as "critical" if it contains security issues. Only these should you download, not the nicey ones like IE8.
