I'm A Stock/Bond Trader And I'm Not Ashamed

After I retired at 50 in 2001 - I would tell people some of what I did all day - but I would shy away from saying I played the market - Day traders in the 90s had given the rest of us serious stock speculators (whose time frame is often weeks, months and years) a bad reputation - I was afraid I would get a look like I was barely above an alcoholic-gambler-wife beating-good for nothing-idler.

Lately, I've been telling people that part of what I do is stock trading.

The reaction has been positive -I feel like it's time for me to come out of the stock market closet.
