Re: Interesting Comments from John Kerry:

There's plenty of explanation by Kerry himself here in this article: http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/10/...ain/index.html

He's so well spoken, I see no need to add anything other than to answer any additional questions you may have, Financedude.

You might want to consider a media source that supports both sides; in other words, not MSNBC.

Take a look at the link I posted, which has Kerry's response.

So, hypothetically, you are prepared to tell us that the typical armed forces personnel who is stationed in Iraq and getting stop lossed is more likely to be an upper quintile income person with a graduate degree, than a HS graduate?

Pull the other one: its got bells on.

What is really amusing about this story, is that everyone knows what he said is true! Even the folks that want him to apologize. - There aren't many folks rushing out of Harvard and Stanford to sign up for Iraq.

You guys want politicians to 'tell the truth' - Look at what you do, when they do tell the truth! You can't handle the truth!

Now do you understand, why politicians act the way they do? - It's because of the hypocrites in this country.

You may be right, but even if it is arguably true, it is one of the least empathic things I think I have ever heard a public person say.

Holy cow! He is saying to parents who are heartbroken at losing their son or daughter over there that "It’s to be expected, you kid was one of society’s losers.” And saying the same to the men and women in Iraq who have to go out every day wondering if it is their last-“LOSERS!! “

Listening to the clip I was struck by two things --one, how much he sounds like FDR in his intonation and cadence. And two, what a nasty arrogant thoughtless man he must be!

He should retire to Newport or something where he can't do any more harm.

Ha

IMO, the only person(s) that'd view CNN as biased would be a religious zealot. In other words, you just ratted yourself out.

The only significantly sized group of people in American who would/should be offended by CNN's coverage would be the religiously conservative.

Fine with me, as long as he takes Monkeyboy, Dirty Dick and (ick) Karl Rove with him.

Since when were they biased? You're the one making making the claim. That makes the burden of proof yours.

Take this example. In your link, i saw one side presented. In my link, i saw two sides (what Kerry said, what republicans said, and what kerry said in response)

However you view this flap, one thing is certain. He didn't do his party
any favors this close to an election.

Maybe the reason why he said "very few" was to account for people like McCain. You know... just a guess

I beg to disagree. He just said how we all feel - Iraq is a place no one wants to be in right now. We're more than tired of Iraq, and its time to put it to an end. The democrats can help in that endeavor.
