John Wooden dies..............

A great old basketball coach for UCLA died last night. Built a dynasty during his coaching days at UCLA and was just a good human being. RIP

Great guy and great coach - I like how he started each year teaching the players how to put on their shoes and socks

Not many left like the old coach any more, one of the last iconic throwbacks to the days before the inmates ran the asylum.

He's long talked about being prepared to come back to his wife, deceased for 25 years. The other day he received a shave and joked that he was getting spruced up in preparation for being reunited with her. Whatever one thinks about the spiritual, the supernatural and the afterlife, that's a pretty neat attitude for someone to take when they pretty much knew they were dying.
