No way. Once I had an offer to w*rk in Bermuda at the then SOFAR station. Wise of them, they flew me down there, put me up for a week to see if I would like to live there. All other hiring issues were settled, + twice a year 2 weeks free transport to southern USA or to Belize etc. for vacation.

In three days I decided the island was too doggone small. Being stuck on ship however nice with next to zip for hobbies and the attendant toys is not my cup o tea.

Some of those "all inclusive" deals are better than others. The military ones can leave a bit to be desired.

Cruises do have hobbies built in for you. besides the ever-ending food orgy...

We have the fabulous Art Auction, We have the Inch-o-Gold sale, and we have the Bingo-Rama.

What more could you possibly want !

You could go this route.....but then you would actually have to cook and clean for yourself. Of course, if you buy the 300 sq ft home, cleaning could be pretty easy. Cooking might be a challenge. But maybe the layout is such that you could take your shower while cooking breakfast?

I have always wondered what happens when the ship goes into dry dock or is no longer "sea worthy"...... And what if they don't sell all the "condos"? Sees like there are a lot of risks, but if I had a lot of extra money laying around - I wouldn't mind spending my retirement going around the world...getting on and off as I choose.
