That 28,000 person lay-off announced by Disney git me to thinking. I was reading somewhere that some local governments have provisions about mandatory reductions (layoffs) if tax receipts fall below a certain level. I looked my beloved PA was faring and as expected huge shortfall.
When you look at places like Detroit and what happened to retirees- (clearly an extreme case)one wonders about if retiree pension checks will be in jeopardy? Not just for PA but for all local and star governments? Don’t panic just brain storming here.
