I've been a MM fan since the beginning and find this comparison of costs from the 50s and 60s that inflation has brought us an interesting comparison. Costs matter.

Those characters on "Mad Men" have such great taste -- but how could they afford it? And could you afford to live in similar fashion now? From Peggy's apartment to Don's suits, we compare prices from the 1960s and from today for familiar items seen on "Mad Men" to give a sense of what all that style would cost, then and now.
