Now that Kentucky is out, maybe Carolina can get somewhere.

Yes, that helps UNC's track but UNC has to get through #1 seed Baylor next (Saturday at noon CBS). UNC has been up and down this season, sometimes they play like they can beat the best (and did beat Duke at Duke) but sometimes UNC plays like they can't beat a high school team. But for a team with a brand new first year Coach I have overall been pleased as a UNC fan.

Providence has a very tough path to the final 4 from here. They play Richmond tomorrow, and they are a 12 seed. However they just upset #5 Iowa, so you can bet they will have lots of support against Providence. Assuming Providence does win, then they face #1 seed in the bracket Kansas, assuming Kansas wins their game tomorrow against #9 seed Creighton.

I’m hoping PC beats Richmond (naturally) and that Creighton upsets Kansas. That would set up a rematch between the Friars and Bluejays. Creighton embarrassed Providence (or Providence embarrassed themselves) in the 2nd round of the Big East tournament. I’m not above a little revenge. But I wouldn’t bet the farm against Kansas.

So, am I the only one here who saw the thread title and thought “Daylight Saving Time”?

This did cross my mind when scanning down the thread titles, yes.
What's the over/under on whether this madness will end by law in the US?

I'm too much of a College Basketball fan to make that mistake. In addition, I have a "not my circus, not my monkeys" attitude when it comes to daylight savings time pros or con .

March Madness
I hadn’t entered my picks on ESPN before the start so I can’t join the ER.org group that was set up there.
So far I’m 25-7. Only two of those misses will cause any further damage so I’m pretty happy so far.
How’s everybody else doing?

20 right, with 4 of my Sweet 16 picks gone but all Elite 8 possible. Tied for 14th in my group of 22, but 5th in max points remaining.

I just had to brag and it never fails. NC just blew that region up for me. I had Baylor going to final four.

My Tar Heels beat the #1 seed Baylor and are the first team to the sweet 16. I think my blood pressure got to 200/190 in that game. Whew!

No Creighton upset - you're getting Kansas. Friars could win...there have been quite a few big upsets thus far. Seems like each day there's a couple.
I have Kansas vs. Providence in my bracket, but Kansas winning and going to the finals against Gonzaga. I wouldn't be unhappy if Providence won that game...I still have Gonzaga winning it all.

If the Friars shoot anything like they did tonight when they play Kansas next week it could be quite a game.
How about St. Peter’s? Gotta love them. I understand we might be seeing their coach, Shaheen Holloway, in the Big East soon (at his alma mater, Seton Hall).

I also picked Arizona to win against Gonzaga. 3 of my final 4 picks are still alive. I blew the East, UCLA is the last pick I have left, and I had them losing to Baylo in the sweet 16.

Guess I’ll be rooting for St. Peter’s from here on out. Lost 9 out of the 16 games including my supposed champion.

The upsets are a big part of what makes March Madness fun to me. I often find myself rooting against my picks, like with the St Peter's Peacocks. I'd never even heard of them, but was pulling for them against one of my final 4 picks, Kentucky.
For the sweet sixteen...
The West and South were good to me - 7/8.
The East and Midwest were brutal - 2/8.

I've still got 7 of 8 elite 8 picks going. I took a flyer on Wisconsin to make the final 4, otherwise I'm looking pretty good, 2nd in my group of 22 for max possible points. But 1st has similar picks to mine. I need UCLA to go to the final 4, and Kansas to not make it.
