Just in case you are interested NORAD is currently giving the position of Santa. As I write this he was last over Addu City in the Maldives. He has already delivered over 1.8 billion gifts and is headed towards Bangalore, India.

Very cool ! I remember an older version of the Santa tracker way back when. This one is very impressive.
The history of how it all started in 1955 is great stuff.

UPDATE: Santa is east of South America, over the ocean.
I've had the Santa tracker running all day. I've looked at it approx every half hour.
I have myself positioned in a low altitude earth view, zoomed out to see multiple countries (less than 6) at a time.
The graphics and ability to zoom/pan and change azimuth and elevation with the mouse is pretty cool. I've seen this capability in 3D software before, but this version really has the aerophysics nailed.
NASA is involved in this...the geography portion is way cool. The terrain colors/shading/skins are perfect to simulate topography.
The submarine topography is very detailed. Right now (7:21 PM EDT) you can see the MidAtlantic Ridge.
Grandkids would definitely enjoy watching this. Use the closer in zoom settings so you can see Santa in the sleigh and the reindeer running effect.

CHALLENGE exercise for kids of all ages....Use the mouse make it look like you are directly ahead of Rudolph, with the team running right towards your point in 3D space.
You know you have it right when you can see Rudolph's nose right in front of you.
