Unfortunately I do have to vouch for lake pirates in Texas. Falcon Lake being not far.....

ReWahoo - do you have 20+ people crossing your back yard in the wee hours, occasional yelling Border Patrol Agents running across your yard, and now and then helicopters sounding like they're about to land on your roof? Needs to be on your apocalypse list.
