new time waster

For those Zynga fans out there, here is some small fry competition:

check out "Family Village," a new Facebook game produced by Draper developer Funium thatís like "Farmville" for genealogists.

Vince explained to me that the game ó with the help of $1.2 million from Utah entrepreneur Jim Sorenson and genealogy site FamilyLink ó is geared at amateur genealogists who might enjoy imagining what life was like for Great-Great-Grandma on, say, the American frontier.

I tried it out, not my cup of tea, but I can see how it would be more interesting for a large family playing together.
Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.
