NFL: 2019 Season

The Pats just sent Demaryius Thomas to the Jets in exchange for a 6th round draft pick. Are the Jets in on the whole collusion thing? Did they know the Pats would be getting Brown and then theyy could get Thomas for cheap? The NFL offices are in New York after all...

I'm glad for Thomas that he will get to play. He could be one of the top receivers on the Jets. That wasn't going to happen in New England.

And the Saints kicker is also the highest paid kicker in the NFL...$20+ million over 5 years with $9 mil guaranteed. He certainly earned his keep with that kick!

Aja, I think your a Texan fan, but I got close this year...I got 2 CNotes on the ‘Boys to cover 8.5 wins this year and 1k on Titans 7.5 ovr and 1k on 8 over. So you know who I am rooting for this year!

Living near Houston and betting on the Texans is tough duty (historically). I'm from Connecticut and have always been a Yankee fan and a Pats fan. I'm not a bettor though. :)

My gambling has been with women and I was not too good at that over the last 50 years. So I really can't make myself bet on team sports.

IMO, sports betting is a lot cheaper.

That pick would go to the Raiders in a more perfect world. They really got screwed in this whole thing.

The Texas vs. Saints game was a thriller. I'm surprised the Texans played so well.

It was a great game but also shows how bad the Texan coaches are...

I will be surprised if they are there next year... too many loses due to coaches poor decisions...

Yes, they are more expensive! Mine costs me money even when I win... I was in Tahoe in February skiing and went into sportsbook and saw Blues were 50-1 to win Cup. I threw $200 on it as they were playing better. I practically begged my GF to put $50 on it, but she wouldnt and wanted to blow her money on Roulette Wheel. So I win my 10k and the first thing I do is lose $2k of it paying for her part of Mexico trip this winter.

A Brown is a mess. Worse than Moss. It was interesting Moss could almpst get away with murder when he was playing for Minnesota.

Wow. Just when you thought AB couldn't get any scummier.

I am literally not surprised. Desperation doesn't always pan out...and that felt like a desperate/opportunistic play by Pats.

Adrian Peterson was our star running back. TONS of off the field issues that were obliterating to our locker room. Moss, same thing. The ole Love Boat cruise. A lot of these guys are literally just football ogers. No money management skills, no self worth or respect, entitled upbringing etc. I'm not saying these dudes don't exist in the business world as well, but we just don't see it displayed publicly with a weekly build up to the what's next before game day?

I think his ex coach nailed it, you need to play football, just focus on what you are good at.

Hating on the Pats has been much more satisfying than being a Bills fan the last 15 years.
But this is our year!
^^^^ Haters hate... that's just what they do.

In many cases because they don't have a decent team to watch. :D

Browns or Bengals? :D

Do I want the trophies heck yeah I do! We do have a good setup here in terms of winning teams, the Twins, the Vikings, the Wild, The Gophers, the Lynx, and now we have UFC United Soccer Team with a new stadium a super nice ball field, and the state of the art staduum US Bank, we have been hosting tons of sporting events with our new billion+ dollar stadium with doors and shades! NCAA, Super Bowl, X Games, etc etc.

We get the big name guys(and GALS), Moss, Garnett, Pucett, Mauer, Favre? WHAT?? McHale, Lindsey Vonn(that's right Skiing gold medalist I skiid with her here no BIG DEAL)...

fight me!

Finally getting caught up as this was the first story on the morning news today that I watched.

A mention was this is a civil case and not a criminal case. He may even be on the NFL exempt list, so can play as the NFL investigates.

If he is put on the exempt list, he can't play while the NFL investigates. He'll still get a full paycheck, and he won't count against the Pats as a roster spot, but definitely can't play.

You are correct! That's still a pretty good deal, nonetheless.
