Son has a new Dell 7 and Firefox started not working for him. Switched to Safari and seems fine so far.
I'm still using Firefox, but if I have problems may check out Chrome. If it goes faster, I'm switching.

If *any* web browser just "stops working", try clearing the cache, clearing histories... Might just be some corrupt file hosing things up.

Good luck...you will most likely appreciate many aspects of Firefox. It is used on all our systems and IE is kept around only for the quirky needs that sometimes seem to come up with selected sites. Again, IE just seems to never get better whereas Firefox seems to improve over time with newer versions and updates.

If you have a problem with Firefox, download a fresh copy and reinstall.

Simple Girl,

Not a techie, but even I was able to download Firefox...and it's a zillion times better than IE! Love not having those annoying ads.

Firefox & Safari have worked well for me. I tried Chrome and it looks OK but have not used it extensively as the other two browsers are enough.

I am not technologically savvy. My son gave me a Mac Book three years ago and installed Firefox which I have used with no problems whatsoever. I think I have Safari, too, as I keep installing updates, but I have never used it.

Well... downloaded Chrome even though I detest Google (they are worse than Microsoft IMO)... and guess what... does not seem to be any faster than Firefox on my wife's computer...

SOOO, she will continue to use Firefox...
