Please list SENIOR BENEFITS.
Please list organization/company offering Senior Benefits, known benefit or discount, and the AGE needed. If corrections are needed, please make them. Don't list anything local such as "Joe's Restaurant" on Main Street.
And don't try to "one up" the spirit of the post and say you can beat this price if you call direct to the front desk and just negotiate - I simply want advertised, KNOWN, discounts, not back room dealing.
At age 50, AARP, has various programs/discounts including, my favorite, coupons for car rentals.
http://www.aarp.org/benefits/
60 - Airlines (specific airlines?) - Discount fares.
60 - Choice Hotels (Sleep Inn, etc.) - Another small percentage off room rental on top of regular AARP discount.
62 - Local YMCA (National?) - Reduces monthly membership fee.

... not being able to qualify for "senior benefits"?
I can't even attend Elderhostel events without being escorted by my parents.

Re: Please list SENIOR BENEFITS.
Your "demands" sound a lot like work, and a lot of us are retired. And then there is the tone of the request.
Catching more flies with honey and all that.
Example: "Anyone know where I could find Senior Benefit programs similar to ones with AARP and AAA? I am particularly interested in airlines, hotels and YMCAs."

Re: Please list SENIOR BENEFITS.
It is a demanding tone, arrete. Sounds very much like my (hopefully) soon to be ex-employer. Wait just a minute here... this poster calls himself "Deadwood", and all my boss does (when he's not getting in the way) is sit around and play on the computer. Wow, I think this really is my employer! Is that you Harold??

Re: Please list SENIOR BENEFITS.
well, it's related to airlines...Denver International Airport, aka DIA, has no admission charge for seniors. I think the same is true for most others as well
If you want better answers, try a better request.

Re: Please list SENIOR BENEFITS.
Hmmm, my biker side of me says that 'Deadwood' might refer to that little town in South Dakota (or maybe Wyoming, I don't remember) very close to Sturgis, South Dakota. *The town was famous because some gunfighter was killed there, maybe Wild Bill Hickock (sp), I can't remember and don't feel like looking t up. *It's a big tourist attraction. *So, that might be where this poster got his name.
I'm shocked to not see people jumping in to help !! *Interesting forum, you don't get somethin' for nothin', not even here, Deadwood. *Be nice, make friends, then ASK the question, don't demand. *You've seen the results. *Either pick a new screen name, *apologize and move on, or just go away, your choice !

Re: Please list SENIOR BENEFITS.
Perhaps a play on the new HBO show of the same name?

Man, this whole thread seems like the posters
have been dipping into the Old Stumpknocker,
or maybe it's just me. As an aside, AARP seems like
a leftest organiztion to me. I belong though.
Lots of benefits to be had.

John
Funny - I thought AARP was a right wing lobbyist organization. Their financial advice drives me up the wall.

Re: Please list SENIOR BENEFITS.
Although I have an AARP card and remain optimistic - they clearly need help. I've yet to see dryer sheets even mentioned -
AND, and, -- Their curmudgeon article didn't mention this forum or any of us 'curmudgeons in training'.
If I wasn't so lazy - I'd write the editors a nasty letter.
