Temperature here, (between Martinsville and Bloomington Indiana), was -9 this morning with 50+ wind gusts, making the walk out to the barn a bit brisk! It is currently a balmy -7 degrees going to a high of maybe 1 degree!
Mini Split heater is doing well at these extreme levels slight temperature swings occurring when it goes into defrost mode periodically but since it is not living space it doesn't bother me. I have been keeping it set at 68 degrees as that is more than comfortable when working out here. Temperature from back of barn where mini split is mounted on wall to front of barn 56 feet away is about a 2-3 degree swing.
