Actually some people like Peter King did not see it as a fumble. Lewis still possessed the ball when his knee hit the ground

So the league all of a sudden wants to side with the guy they unfairly suspended for 4 games and battled him fiercely in court for 2 years... Hmmm.

The league hates the Pats way more than you do.

Love them or hate them but if you are an objective person you have to admit the Pats are the best Football dynasty of the last 20 years with the GOAT coach and QB.

Here I thought you were just being sarcastic about a ref going to Brady to congratulate him after the game. Then I see that on the news. Not saying the fix is in or anything, but just seemed a bit odd that a ref would do that.

Would be similar to if a home plate umpire shook a pitcher's hand after he got a no-no.

I don't have a clue because I don't watch football. So, I voted "other". I hope everyone has fun watching the game.

I will watch to see hopefully a good game, no preference for who wins. Nice if the Eagles can win, as the underdog.

According to my wife the Puppy Bowl is the winner.

Well... not exactly... Here is the video:

https://twitter.com/OurStateCSU/stat...15619909193729

Game ends, he goes up to Brady and taps him on the chest and says good game. No handshake, no hug and no smile....

The Pats are so fundamentally sound. They make very few mistakes. They will be tough to beat.

Seems odd to me for a ref to walk a distance to congratulate a QB pat him on the chest , How would it look if a baseball umpire did this in the MLB American league championship in Cleveland between Cleveland and boston? Doesn't look good ...............
Big Bill and Tommy make it work , always have .

Agree. Probably nothing to it but the refs should just run off the field. Preferably with a police escort.

I suspect umpires and refs do that all the time. Had the camera followed the ref it would probably seen him congratulating others from both teams. And while I've never seen a WS, I've seen umps congratulate players and coaches in regular MLB games. Just a handshake or pat, but it's still interaction. No big deal.

Agreed.
Of course, if you isolate a single few seconds where the ref pats Brady that makes it more of a conspiracy than if you showed the 20 other seconds where he talks to the opposing team as well.

I used to play some serious organized hockey. I played goal and it was not unusual for a ref to say "nice stop" or something complimentary like that mid-game or to chat with you during a time out. Of course, one of them once said "My God you guys su*k". But no one ever thought it was improper.

I'm going with Eagles, +14 or more. Coaching and everything associated with it will be the difference.
1) Pederson is younger, and may have learned a few important things under Holmgren, Reid, etc. He is "risk on" compared to many other coaches who obviously failed to de-throne the GOAT.
2) Pederson was a backup to a few QB's you've heard of, and can instill confidence in a QB most don't believe in. Wentz is also an advisor, and I think the connection between the QBs goes beyond what is typical.
3) Pederson is someone players want to follow. They will accomplish things over their head, in order to see the team and coach succeed.

In these ways Pederson is not the hoodie guy. But it does concern me that he smiled after the last game.

Even though stats and all the rest seem to be the story, it will only be about each coach and his players executing a plan when the game starts.

I'll watch for the commercials. The TV will be muted as the announcers will undoubtedly be climbing all over each other to get the most words in. Are they paid by the word??
