Football season is over after NCAA national championship game, unless my favorite pro team is in the playoffs (weren't this year).

Accordingly my attitude is "this is basketball season. Spring football does not begin till March so I am not sure what you are talking about!"

Voted " other".

I dunno... this time may be different ... 1/3 of the 22,000 tickets will be given to health care workers and many of them will be from the Tampa Bay area. Plus there is the whole sleeping in your own bed rather than in a hotel thing.

Quote:
The NFL announced Friday that 7,500 health care workers vaccinated for the coronavirus will be given free tickets to next month's Super Bowl to be played in Tampa, Florida.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also said in a news release that attendance at the Feb. 7 game would be limited to those workers and about 14,500 other fans. Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has a capacity of just under 66,000, according to its website.

Most of the health care workers who will get free game tickets will come from the Tampa Bay area and central Florida, Goodell said. But he added that all 32 NFL teams will choose some workers from their cities to attend the game. ..

Okay, thought this over and I'm picking Chiefs by 8-14 pts.

More precisely, I'm saying Chiefs 34, Bucs 24.

I'm hoping for a close game down to the wire, but my gut says Chiefs by 10.

Tom Brady and Tampa Bay (TB and TB, or TB squared) will win. Next question?

All I really care about are my numbers hitting in my squares. However, if I had to bet, I’d go with the Chief’s by a touchdown. I think TB is the GOAT, but I think his time is up. Happens to the best of them and accordingly TB can be no exception.

Chiefs by 7 at least. KC will score at least 30, can TB keep pace? I doubt it. However I'm rooting for TB.

I picked KC by 14 or more. Mahomes is really something and the Chiefs know both how to win and what it feels to lose the big game. That said, it will be hard not to be pulling for the old guys, even though they have enough rings and TB cuz it's been awhile. Just hoping for an entertaining game.

Thank you for giving this choice for me "I just watch the commercials or halftime event". I watch those on Youtube/news, etc.

I used to hit Costco during the game until I realized that tons of other people had the same idea and it was as crowded as any other day...

I think they must be referring to this post:

If a money bet was involved, I'd have to take Kansas City. Being a sentimental old goat myself, I'll choose the GOAT to win.

My big question is, would Brady announce a surprise retirement if the game ended in movie-like fashion where he throws the winning touchdown as time expires on the clock?
