Some of us moderators have actually been surfing, spending time with family, eating, and even sleeping.* We've just started the moderator's discussion about what to do.* Frankly we're also wading through quite a bit of customer feedback expressing varying degrees of disappointment & disgust over the behavior between you guys.

Would it be too much to ask for you two to take it off the boards and settle your personal disuptes elsewhere?

TH, I'll appeal to your extensive discussion board experience and your parental maturity.* You can see where this is going and you need to stop poking it with a stick.

JG, the sentiments you've been expressing (and the necessity of using so many asterisks to express them) belie your claims of existing on a higher level of sophistication than the rest of this board.* You sure can dish it out, pal, but you don't seem to take it very well, and the sulking does not enhance what little remaining credibility you possess.*

You each have unlimited PM space to express your deepest feelings toward each other without us having to watch the process.* I, for one, would appreciate it if you guys would keep it private.* Several others have expressed similar sentiments.

None of this "He started it" crap or other defensive posturing.* Just attempt to act like the putative adults that your posting profiles allege you to be.* Or I swear I will turn this discussion board around and head back home this instant!

Hey.* Don't speak for me.* I kinda enjoy watching this train wreck.* Maybe we could create a special board for it ala intercst's Board of *****, and Best of Hocomania.* We'll need to come up with an appropriate name for the board.* The only things I can think of will probably be considered insulting by both of our most prolific posters and that might make me a target of their scourn, so I would like to solicit names for this new board from the rest of the posters.* Any suggestions?* *

Re: Re: The Profile, part deux, with TH & JG sidebar

Well said Nords, although you've hosed my thread again Can we move this to a separate thread please?

I had already made my decision and thats why I started cleaning up the mess. Certainly I "poked it with a stick" in response to the off topic "look at my 7000 posts and there are 7000 more" post in the midst of a discussion last night, accompanied by 10 more contentless posts and one wrong answer.

I also started it originally, pointing out with regularity the existence of an unspoken working wife helping the 'brains and willpower' along. I have a lot of respect for my wife and it was just a little bit irritating to see someone who doesnt seem to have much respect for anyone.

I'm fed up with the "post count race" mentality where he feels the need to write something just to up a counter. Its stupid.

I'll also point out that I tolerated months of name calling and personal attacks by this individual before I struck back, something probably lost on a lot of newer people and infrequent visitors. They only get to see the big steaming pile, not the series of meals that took place before hand...

Now that I've done just about everything you said not to do, I'll be glad to do what I think everyone wants...let it go. Pin the tail on the buffoon just isnt as much fun as it used to be.

Oh thanks a lot (CFB). :P I go to all the trouble of crafing the perfect hijack post and you turn around and stop the train wreck. Did you happen to think about how that affects me? I was counting on lots of board name suggestions clogging this thread. I'm terribly disapointed.

Oooh, how about a section where people can have a duel and the other members can rate it? I'd say a duel of wits, but it hasn't been very witty, really ... It would be like American Gladiator, only incorporeal. And not as smart.

Sorry, but i'm not biting. If the "other brand" actually had any threads started, you could give him a try.

Sounds like the LBYM forum on Motely Fool. Where people are allowed to gang up on others to garner recs. :P

CFB - I wish you luck with your profile format. It should be interesting.
