I just did mine a couple months ago, just one, the big sliding glass door, 80" x 96"

It was a Milgard Tuscany with E3 glass and works really well. Slides nice and easy.

We also have that one. Love their locking mechanism.

Yeah, it is sweet!

But I always have to check it before I leave the house now, I can't tell if the handle is "in" or "out" from the front door. I could always see the latch lever on the old one -

Yeah, this sounds my issue with some locking mechanisms. I had a basement bath window break in because a lock looked lock for a year and a half until someone cut the screen and lifted the window and shimmied in. Lost portable electronics, laptop, small stuff.

I went even more frugal than this and took the double pane glass out of the window casing then cut the two panes away from the aluminum spacer. Both panes were fogged and etched so got two new sheets of glass cut and siliconed them back on the spacer. Put back in window frame and voila. No more fogged window. Has been good for several years. If only I could have gotten my hands on some argon!

When we remodeled our current house in 2009, we replaced the 30-year old aluminum windows with American Craftsman from Home Depot. At the time, my understanding was they were made by Anderson. Don’t know if that’s still true, but we’re very happy with the windows.
