RIP Phil Spector - 81 - no more Da Doo Ron Ron

Phil Spector, whom some of you may remember from his association with The Ronettes, The Righteous Brothers, The Crystals, Ike & Tina, etc, and who was convicted of murder in 2009, died from 'Covid related' issues aged 81.

He made George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" a "lesser" enjoyable LP, to my ears, by his bombastic and cluttered "wall of sound" mix. Still a great LP nonetheless, thanks to George and his songs. (Even McCartney hated what he did to the original "Let It Be" tapes. The surviving Beatles remixed it as the "Naked Let It Be" LP years later.)
But Spector did better with John Lennon's 1971 solo album.

That was actually Phil Spector himself.
