RIP Phil Spector - 81 - no more Da Doo Ron Ron

He made George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" a "lesser" enjoyable LP, to my ears, by his bombastic and cluttered "wall of sound" mix. Still a great LP nonetheless, thanks to George and his songs. (Even McCartney hated what he did to the original "Let It Be" tapes. The surviving Beatles remixed it as the "Naked Let It Be" LP years later.)
But Spector did better with John Lennon's 1971 solo album.

He dun his run.

It might be interesting to flag the movies where an actor portrayed Phil Spector. The one that comes to mind first is the drug buyer at the airport runway in "Easy Rider."

Seemed like a great talent but not such a nice guy.

Thanks for the interesting discussion. :flowers:

Unfortunately, if you can't say something nice about the deceased, it's really better not to say anything at all.
