There are old pilots and there are bold pilots .... and then there are the guys who are lucky or good.
Wow
I should add while watching this I saw ads for Pilot insurance I wonder if these guys send the video to the insurance company

I enjoy that TV series on bush pilots in Alaska. Think is just called Coast Guard Alaska and/or Ice Pilots and it's on the Weather Channel.

Know them landings well. Many years and hundreds of them in the Aleutians. As passenger in the back seat, still scary.

Thanks, I'm collecting these videos. I'm saving them to show people who ask me why I joined the submarine force instead of flying.
Talk about evolution-- he's been able to survive enough flight tests with his gear modifications to verify that they really do work. Or maybe they leave that first test to the apprentices?
I'm guessing that this works best with light loads on really really cold days with stiff breezes in the right directions...
