Ahhh....SNAFU and FUBAR. We were the inventors of textspeak and no one does it better!! Plus, I believe our generation came up with WTF. The classics do go way back. These young uns got nuttin' on us

I text a bit. DD (before her dept got outsourced to WV) couldn't accept personal phone calls or email at work, but was allowed to text. I suspect management hadn't caught up to technology yet.

When I do text, I spell the words out completely, and attempt to use relatively decent grammar. As noted in a previous thread, I'm pedantic. Also a tad OCD.
