Picture time.   Our view is to the east, so we don't get to watch bonafide sunsets.   But we do get to see the city light up when the sun sets upon it.   I finally remembered to take a picture of this scene (about 8pm last night).   Click for a larger image.

I mentioned a while ago that my friend retired to Whidby about 2 years ago, and we spent about a week with them last summer.
They are really sold on the area, and only thing that bothers them, is they weren't able to do it sooner.

You are a lucky guy, at your age, to live in a spot like that.

Pretty good considering there isnt one shot of anything with food on its head...well...that last one a little bit...

Oh believe me...after 32 years in new england, I've seen it...last year before I left the drift kept me from opening the front door to get out and shovel the driveway...I had to roll out of a window in the lee side of the house to get around and start digging. Then of course the @$#^%#^$#$ing snow plow waits around the corner until I'm done to come by and deposit the 2' high, 4' wide heap of icey sludge at the end right after I put on my work clothes and was ready to leav.
